We live amongst a tribal group known as the Dem who are located in the mountains of Southeast Asia. We are here to learn their language, translate the Bible into their language, and teach them about God. Last week

St. Nicks! - Mom sent goodies along when we left WI after Thanksgiving and I didn't peek the whole time!

Raquel was sick with a runny nose/fever, so she and I stayed home together all week:) I was going to write something very sarcastic about what a wonderful time it was, but I can't think of anything right now. anyways

We did get out to take the garbage to the dumpster. Raquel is sporting her purple coat, snowpants and boots that I got at a rummage sale for $2.50 when she was two weeks old!

On Thursday night, I dragged my neighbor Laura to come and make snowmen with me. A lady from our class had organized two nights that anyone could come and make the lovely snowmen pictured below. All the materials were provided, and we, along with many other crafty ladies, had great fun bringing our snowmen to life:)

Yes, you DID "drag" me, but I was glad I went - my crafty inner self, though long hidden, enjoyed the outlet.

Cute snowpeople!! (politically correct:) When you visit at Christmas time you'll be able to make snowpeople from real snow. It was 17 degrees today and we have
a nice thick snow covering. Perhaps you could even play in Jenna and Elise's forts. We're counting the days. . .
